Description | This unit covers the process of routine inspection of livestock in a feedlot and defines the standard required to: monitor animal health status and refer to the production plan for intervention strategies; identify animals requiring attention and accurately diagnose the type and severity of infection or injury; interpret the type and scope of treatment referring to the production plan for treatment protocols; take action as appropriate and administer treatments and observe withholding periods; implement appropriate follow-up procedures to monitor animals for treatment effectiveness as per enterprise protocols; record and document actions taken in the treatment of animal infection or injury. | ||
